Show #202 – We’re back with a double episode! Sven, JK and Tony are in the studio where we welcome to the Call-in Studio phone line Nathan Davidson to discuss the WORS decision to drop the fatbike racing class, backyard events and Fatbikes. Plus, Mark gets a whole bunch of of bikes!

Snow Crown Series finished up with the US Fat Bike open in Green Bay. Due to the weather, and NO SNOW, they raced on the cement golf cart path!

So my Fatbike Friends! Can you take a minute to  help me out?

WORS Series was purchased by TREK last year. They claim to want to build up the series and grow it to its glory days…but last year they removed the Fatbike class that WORS has had since 2013 in various forms.

(They tried a Sport Fatbike and Comp Fatbike. To split it up because it was so popular. Then they tried making one Fatbike class with two age categories. And eventually, the last couple years, landed on an Open Cat 2 Comp class that raced the Sport Distance. This seemed to work well and the fatbike division was always well attended and popular with anywhere from 12-30+ fatbikes at each race. Many of the fastest laptimes were from the Fatbike category.)

I am writing to see if you can help us with an e-mail campaign to the WORS Director Marcus Warrington to add back in this popular race category for all of us Fatbike Enthusiasts.

There are many of you that have fatbikes and compete on your fatbike year round.  Or maybe you have a Fatbike and just want to help us see this category stay as part of the series.

The reasons are endless but the sheer number of Fatbikes out in our community shows the popularity of these bikes and really if TREK wants to build up this series – it needs to reach out and bring this huge community onboard. There’s no downside to adding a Popular Fatbike class to the series.

SO PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!

BY WRITING A PETITION LETTER ASKING TO SEE FATBIKE DIVISION BROUGHT BACK TO WORS!!
